Albert R. Newsome, III, DDS is a Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon known for his steady presence, clear communication, and patient-centered approach. A native of the Piedmont Triad, Dr. Newsome provides full-scope surgical care with a focus on digital implant surgery, complex implant reconstruction, facial trauma surgery, anesthesia, and comprehensive dentoalveolar procedures.

Dr. Newsome completed his doctoral training at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, followed by a selective surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania in concert with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He then completed full-scope surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

His training included rotations in general surgery, trauma surgery, critical care, anesthesia, and emergency medicine, along with core training in surgical pathology, orthognathic and reconstructive surgery, surgical head and neck oncology, and advanced digital implant reconstruction.

Dr. Newsome is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the North Carolina Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains active hospital privileges at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, serves on the Board of the National Leadership Council for Duke Children’s Hospital, and is a member of the Admissions Committee at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr. Newsome enjoys fly fishing, waterfowl hunting, drumming, and golf. He lives in High Point with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Newsome, and their children—Albert, Katherine, Elizabeth and James.
